EU BON trainings

During life time of the project several training events will be organized on data and metadata integration strategies, use of standards, and use of data sharing tools. The training events will initially target the EU BON consortium, later rolling out to a wider audience of external users. On this page you can find details of previous and upcoming training events, including agendas, presentations, other didactic materials and practical information regarding logistics and registration.
 

First EU BON Training Event

The First EU BON Training Event aims to provide a basic understanding and shared vocabulary on Information architecture and Data standards used by EU BON. It will provide a forum for discussion, amongst experts from EU BON and from related Networks of Biodiversity Information.

Format
The course is a two-day hands-on training event. The course will accommodate 10-15 researchers. The program consists of introductory lectures, practical computer work, and discussions. Researchers will be contacted upon admission in order to consider their own research objectives for the course.
